Job Title: Inside Sales Engineer

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reports To: Director of Product Management

FLSA: Exempt

Summary: Supports the Sales & Marketing and new product development teams. Sells products, services and systems to OEMs and builds customer relationships based on service, trust, innovation, and value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Responds to customer technical inquiries using in-depth knowledge of products and applications, escalating to Engineering as needed.
• Reviews customer technical requests, specifications, drawings, etc., works with Engineering to determine feasibility, and assists in preparing quotes.
• Pursues new business for assigned accounts to help meet annual sales goals.
• Plays an integral role in developing and executing product roadmap strategies working closely with the customer and internal Sales & Marketing team.
• Liaises with project teams on customer specifications, timelines, and deliverables to ensure a smooth product development process and launch.
• Monitors sales inquiries placed via the website and follows up with or refers prospects to an outside salesperson as needed.
• Analyzes daily and periodic sales data, reporting to management as requested.
• Performs market analysis, monitors competitive activity, identifies customer needs, and collects market/industry trends.
• Manages/performs activities related to trade shows, advertising, social media engagement, media relations, and technical sales literature, collaborating with outside marketing firms as needed.
• Makes updates to the company website as requested.
• Must be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
• Must possess good analytical and presentation skills.
• Must possess effective organizational and time management skills.
• Must possess the ability to operate within a team environment and to work independently.
• To foster teamwork and collaboration, work will be generally 80% in the office and up to 20% remote.
• Travel expectation is 5-15%.
• Other duties may be assigned.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with one to two years related experience or equivalent co-operative education and/or internship experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
